The Summer Solstice, or Midsummer, is a magical time of year. From our ancient ancestors we have an appreciation for the longest day, promising sun and a long growing season.
Midsummer is celebrated by eating fresh, seasonal foods, such as delicious strawberries
Making beautiful flower rings
Wearing lovely adornment like these gorgeous coronets
Walking and enjoying the beauty of nature
And, finally, with a bonfire, as the long day of Midsummer’s Eve day drifts into twilight, only to be quickly reawakened for the longest day of the year on the summer solstice.
Roast some marshmallows, sing some songs, dance around the fire and enjoy!
